Welcome to the pack, Bulldogs! We’re thrilled to see you all back on campus this week and kick off the Fall 2021 semester. Between Move-In, Bulldog Beginnings, the Welcome Back BBQ and the first day of classes, campus has been buzzing with excitement this week.

At Bulldog Beginnings, first-year students, transfer students and sophomores who had been online last spring participated in icebreakers and team building activities, information sessions, campus tours and more to get to know more about each other and life at Dean.

At the Welcome Back BBQ, the sun was shining and music was playing as students enjoyed classic barbeque food, served by faculty and staff. The Picnic Grove was full of Bulldogs playing lawn games, reuniting with friends and making new connections as the entire Dean community came together to celebrate the new school year.

From first-year students to seniors, most Bulldogs expressed excitement over being back on campus, experiencing a different school year this fall and meeting new people. The sentiment was equally shared amongst faculty and staff. John Rooke, Director of the Center for Business, Entertainment and Sport Management and Distinguished Executive Faculty, stated, “There’s so many things I’m looking forward to, but mostly just interacting with students. I’m really happy to be on campus and getting back a little closer to normal.” Brian Quinlan, Director of Student Involvement, shared similar thoughts: “I’m excited to have students back on campus and looking forward to true student development outside the classroom.”

We hope you all have a great start to the semester, Bulldogs! Stay up-to-date on events and activities on Today@Dean, and learn more about student life at Dean.
