This October a new organization launched on campus – The Dean Daily. The Dean Daily is Dean’s new online newspaper, created and staffed by Dean students and overseen by John Rooke, Director of the Center for Business, Entertainment and Sport Management. The goal of the online newspaper is to become a prime news source for the campus and eventually the Franklin community.

Sports Broadcasting major Brendan Howe ’20 is president and founder of the organization. The idea originated during the spring 2019 semester when Brendan collaborated with friends, who also happen to be his colleagues on the sports broadcast team and formed an e-board that later launched the site this fall.

Readers of the site can find everything Dean-related from campus news, performing arts, athletics, student activities and a kaleidoscope, described by Brendan as a sneak peek of events happening the following week.

Interested in writing for The Dean Daily? The team says they are always looking for new content. Any student interested can contact the e-board with an article for consideration. If you aren’t quite ready to write, you can also ask to be added to email alerts where you will be kept up to date on the editorial schedule.

As a member of the Dean College community, you will have the opportunity to get involved through an array of clubs, organizations, leadership opportunities and community service opportunities.
