    This Certificate in Accounting program is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills to pursue career opportunities in entry-level positions in the accounting field, or to advance in their current employment.

    Numerous employment opportunities exist for part-time and full-time work because bookkeeping, accounting and auditing clerks are employed in almost all industries and at all levels of government. Sectors employing the largest number of clerks include state and local government, education services, healthcare, and the accounting, tax preparation, bookkeeping, and payroll industries. According to the Bureau of Labor, more than two million jobs were held in this field and growth is expected to continue.
