    Prepare For What's Next

Dean's New Student Orientation (NSO) program is designed to prepare you for a successful introduction to college. NSO is a program that will allow you and your family to sample many aspects of Dean College. Along with fun activities, NSO (and ISO for international students) offers helpful workshops and informative presentations to make the transition to college as easy as possible.

The program will familiarize you and your family with the academic support, technology services and residence life programs available on campus. You'll also have a chance to meet our faculty and staff, connect with other Dean students, and make lots of new friends!

Important Note for students enrolling for January 2015

The Office of Student Development & Retention is looking forward to New Student Orientation on Monday, January 19, 2015.  All new students, both commuters and residents, are required to participate in this program. Check- in for new students will be from 9:00am to 10:00am in the Campus Center with the orientation program for both students and families starting at 11:15am. Students will spend time meeting faculty, staff and student leaders, and receive important information about campus programs and services. Family members are strongly encouraged to attend the orientation program to learn what services and programs Dean College has to offer so that they can engage their students in conversations throughout their time at Dean. The program will end around 3:00pm for both families and students.

To register for January orientation, please contact the Fernandez & Smith Center for Student Development & Retention at 508-541-1552 by Thursday, January 15, 2015.

Information about the summer 2015 NSO program will be available on this page by the end of January. For a sample of what the summer program looks like, please click on the following link:
