Dean College Awards $40,500 Scholarship to Local High School Graduate

Dean College is pleased to announce that Ava Membreno of Attleboro, MA, has been awarded the Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School Scholarship. This $40,500 scholarship is awarded annually by the College to an incoming first-year student and is renewable for up to four years, provided qualifications are met.
“This scholarship went beyond financial relief for me. It is a recognition of the dedication I have put toward my future career thus far,” said Membreno. “This scholarship is the motivation that will push me toward my goals and allow me to explore all opportunities available to me without a dollar sign in the way of my success.”
All scholarship finalists met with a selection committee for an interview before the winner was determined. Ashley Reed, Senior Assistant Director of Admissions at Dean and a member of the selection committee, said, “Ava impressed us not only with her academic achievements, but also with her enthusiasm, professionalism, and clear vision for her future. We are confident she will make the most of every opportunity here at Dean and beyond.”
Membreno, who attended the Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School in Franklin, MA, chose Dean for its opportunities, connections to local sports franchises, and extensive study away program. She will be majoring in sports broadcasting.
