Study Abroad and Semester Away Program

  • Explore the World

Internships and Study AbroadThe personal and professional opportunities that await college students who choose to study abroad are endless. Confident, ambitious students in a bachelor's degree program at Dean College, who seek to become true global citizens, are encouraged to experience culture outside of their comfort zone by spending a semester abroad.

Bachelor's degree students in their junior year or first semester of their senior year who have a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.000 or higher, may choose to study abroad for a semester or full academic year.

Students are strongly advised to start planning early — as soon as their first year at Dean — if interested in studying abroad once a junior. The Robbins Family Center for Advising and Career Planning can provide more information about program opportunities, the application process, and application materials. Personal advisors are available to work individually with students to plan an optimal study abroad experience for their chosen major and career goals. By working closely with their advisor and bachelor’s degree program director, students can ensure that they will complete all required courses for their major, even if studying abroad for a semester or a year.

Program opportunities are available in many academic majors around the world through several study abroad programs:
      GlobaLinksLearning Abroad
      Academic Programs International (API)
      Arcadia University
American Institute for Foreign Study (AIFS)
      SIT Study Abroad
American College of Management and Technology in Dubrovnik
      Regents University London
