Turn your creativity into content that connects, engages and influences.

Program Overview

The way we communicate is constantly changing – and organizations need creative thinkers who know how to tell stories, build audiences and create content that stands out.

With a bachelor’s degree or minor in Content Creation and Influencing from Dean College, you’ll learn to develop compelling content for social media, websites, podcasts, video and other digital platforms. Combining communication, storytelling, media production and marketing, this interdisciplinary major gives you the creative and technical skills to take an idea from concept to finished product.

You’ll learn by doing. Create visual, audio and written content while developing skills in video and audio production, creative writing, web design, social media strategy and personal branding. Along the way, you’ll explore the responsibilities that come with creating and sharing content, including copyright, ethical use of others’ work, quality control and the evolving role of artificial intelligence.

Whether you want to build your own brand, work behind the scenes for an organization or help businesses connect with their audiences, you’ll graduate with a portfolio of work and practical experience you can take into your career.

Students majoring in Content Creation and Influencing are strongly encouraged to minor in Marketing.
