Easy as 1, 2, 3
Transferring to Dean is almost that simple: file an application (it’s free online), submit the required application documents, and receive your acceptance and credit evaluation and prepare to start classes. We make every effort to provide you with a credit evaluation as soon as possible so you can gauge the amount of courses needed to complete your Dean degree. Generally, college-level courses with a grade of C– or higher are accepted for transfer credit.
We also have transfer agreements that pave the way for easy transfer. Associate degree graduates from the following institutions with a GPA of 2.0 or higher will be accepted to Dean College:
- Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI)
- Landmark College (requires a 2.5 GPA)
- Bristol Community College (BCC)
- Cape Cod Community College
- Berkshire Community College
- Greenfield Community College
- Massasoit Community College
- MassBay Community College
Students from any Massachusetts community college are especially welcome, and we accept the General Education Foundation which makes transferring even easier.
General Education Foundation
The General Education Foundation is a set of general education, core or distribution requirements consisting of 34 college-level courses.
All General Education Foundation courses will be accepted for full transfer credit towards the core curriculum at Dean. Once on campus, bachelor's degree candidates must complete 9 upper division credits to complete the College’s core requirements.
In addition, students who complete the 34-credit General Education Foundation with a grade point average of 2.0 or higher will qualify for a $7,000 per semester merit scholarship—on top of any need-based financial aid they may receive.
