  • Dean College Hosts Homecoming: For Alumni and Families Day 2017

    Homecoming 2017

Dean College enjoyed another successful Homecoming: For Alumni and Families day on Saturday, September 23rd, 2017.

The day started with a campus tour, allowing everyone to check-out the changes to the campus.

The early morning hours also included an Open House with the Schools where families were invited to speak to faculty from their student’s academic program. During this time Alumni members were able to reconnect with professors and meet new members of the Dean Community.

Afterwards, it was time for former athletes to show their stuff. Grant Field was the site for the Dean Alumni lacrosse game, allowing both former and current players to compete.

Additionally, the Super Fan Shuttle started bussing the crowd over to Longley, where families and alumni enjoyed a game day cookout and cheered on the Dean College football and soccer teams.

The football team picked up their first win of the season with a 25-10 victory over Becker College. Matt Bethel was named MVP of the football game, a tradition named after alum Butchie Williams. The soccer teams split with the women’s losing against Bay Path College 7-1 and the men taking the victory against Lesley University 4-0.

The day’s festivities concluded with the Dean Showcase, a special evening of performances by students who presented scenes, songs and dances for the Dean Community. Afterwards, The Class of 1997 celebrated their 20th reunion at Teddy Gallagher’s Pub at Alumni Night.

Thank you, Bulldogs for yet another successful homecoming weekend!
