For three local students, the next chapter of their education began just a few miles from home while opening the door to exciting new possibilities. Dean College is proud to recognize Catie Odell, Matthew Pellecchia and Reina Batista as recipients of the College’s 2026 local scholarships. Catie received the Tri-County High School Scholarship, Matthew received the Franklin High School Scholarship and Reina received the Hockomock Area YMCA Scholarship. Each student will receive a significant tuition scholarship to attend Dean beginning this fall. 

Dean College proudly announces its 2026–2027 performing arts season, featuring theatre and dance productions performed by Dean students and brought to life in collaboration with accomplished faculty, guest artists, choreographers and directors. Running from October through May, the season includes four mainstage theatre productions, four major dance concerts and four student showcase productions. Read on to learn more.

Dean College has again been named a College of Distinction for the 2026–2027 academic year, marking the eleventh consecutive year the College has earned the national recognition for delivering an exceptional undergraduate experience.

Dean College celebrated its 160th Commencement Exercises on Saturday, May 9, 2026, recognizing the achievements of the Class of 2026 during a celebratory ceremony held on the College’s picturesque campus in Franklin. 

Each spring, Dean College recognizes its outstanding graduates. We celebrate our graduating students’ significant accomplishments inside and outside of the classroom. These students have excelled academically and in service, making a lasting impact on Dean College. We are delighted to announce the following award recipients.

Dean becomes one of the first NCAA institutions in Massachusetts to sponsor the rapidly growing sport.

Dean College is pleased to announce that Nery Gomez, entrepreneur, investor, and member of the Dean College Board of Trustees, will serve as the keynote speaker for the College’s 160th Commencement ceremony.

Dean College is pleased to announce the students who have been inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society, National Honor Society for Dance Arts, Golden Key International Honour Society, National Society of Leadership and Success, and Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society. The students below were inducted into their honor societies at the end of March.
