On top of wandering around the campus, spend some time walking about the city or town that the school’s located in. Note where various places are, including fast food restaurants, grocery stores, and more. The overall feel of the town should be just as appealing as that of the college.

There’s nothing wrong with asking current students, those who aren’t tour guides or ambassadors, about their thoughts on the school. Why don’t you want to ask the school’s ambassadors about it?
