Take an Individual Course or Enroll as a Non-Degree Student

Interested in taking a course without enrolling in a degree program? Dean welcomes non-degree students who wish to take select undergraduate courses for professional development, transfer credit, prerequisite completion, or personal enrichment.

  • Town of Franklin Employees: Full-time employees of the Town of Franklin (excluding faculty and professional staff employed by Franklin Public Schools) may enroll tuition-free in one course per semester (fall, winter, spring, and summer) on a space-available basis, for a maximum of four courses per year.
  • Franklin Residents Age 65 and Older: Franklin residents who are 65 years of age or older may enroll tuition-free in one course per semester (fall, winter, spring, and summer) on a space-available basis, for a maximum of four courses per year.
  • High School and Adult Learners: Students 16 years of age or older, with or without a high school diploma (or equivalent), may enroll as non-matriculated students and take up to 12 credits on a part-time, space-available basis.
