    What to Expect WheelBusiness does not take place in a vacuum, neither should your education. At Dean College, we believe in the power of interaction. As one of the top undergraduate private colleges in both Massachusetts and New England, we specialize in offering our students multiple opportunities to meet and interact with national and international business leaders.

    With a career-focused approach, the Dean College curriculum is based on increasing knowledge in all areas of business, including accounting, finance, management, marketing and technology. With our signature combination of hands-on experience and in-depth academics, the School of Business at Dean College will prepare you to thrive in any aspect of the business world through the following avenues:

    Mentoring

    Mentoring is an integral and unique part of a receiving a business degree from Dean College. Students are paired with business executives to help develop their confidence and successfully navigate their career. This program is integral in helping students determine which career they would like to go into after graduation.

    Internships

    Our 15 credit internships allow students to apply classroom theories and leadership experience to real world professional practice. Dean business students have held internships at Patriot Place, Walt Disney World, New England Revolution, and the Washington Center, to name a few.

    Small Classes

    Being a small school offers its advantages for students who are looking for individualized attention. Small class sizes also create a more collaborative learning environment, in which students can interact more with their both peers and professors.

    Experienced Faculty

    As consultants, business executives and entrepreneurs, our faculty bring real-world insights to the classroom. Additionally, the Dean of the School of Business has an open door policy, whereby students can stop by the office and meet with him at any time, without an appointment, to ask questions or seek advice on academics, internships or post-graduate business endeavors.

    Study Abroad

    Students gain international experience by exploring new cultures and business models in countries including: China, Italy, Greece, Ireland, England, France, Spain, and more!

    Case Study Learning Approach

    With a case study learning approach, Dean provides a core understanding of what it takes to succeed as an entrepreneur. Students will learn how to develop a strong business plan, an important component to any business environment. Examples of companies that Dean students have developed business plans for include Under Armour, Central One Federal Credit Union and Franklin Charter School.

    Community Service  

    Students collaborate on service projects with civic organizations such as the YMCA and Habitat for Humanity.

    Dean Leadership Institute

    The Dean Leadership Institute offers unique and interactive opportunity for students, alumni and the local community to interact with today’s business leaders through multiple lectures throughout the year. Examples of past speakers include Robert Kraft, Founder, Chairman and CEO of The Kraft Group, Bert Jacobs, Chief Executive Optimist of The Life is good Company and Bianca de la Garza, Newscaster on WCVB Channel 5.

    The Center for Business, Entertainment and Sport Management

    Since 2009, Dean College has enjoyed a close relationship with the Kraft Sports Group, the holding company for the New England Patriots and New England Revolution. In 2015, Dean College announced an exclusive academic partnership with the Kraft Sports Group (KSG) to create The Center for Business, Entertainment and Sport Management at Dean College. 

    Some of the opportunities The Center for Business, Entertainment and Sport Management will provide our students include Patriots and Revolution executives teaching in the classroom, use of Gillette Stadium and other facilities for hands-on learning opportunities and the development of both a scholarship and internship program for Dean College students.

      Upon graduating from Dean, business alum have gone on to work at companies such as Covidien, Beacon Health Services, Liberty Travel and Granite Telecommunications.
