    Associate Degree in General Studies

An Associate Degree in General Studies from Dean College will prepare you to thrive in any career — even those that don’t yet exist.

Designed for students who want to pursue an individualized course of study, the General Studies major brings together coursework from across the disciplines to broaden your perspective and develop your essential skills.

The general studies program offers three distinct pathways:

    • The Liberal Arts Option, which is ideal for students who want to explore a variety of fields.
    • The Focused Major Option, designed for students who want to focus on a particular discipline without committing to a major.
    • The Education Teaching Option, designed for students who plan to teach.

Whichever option you choose, you’ll fulfill the general education requirements at most four-year schools, making it easy to transfer. And when it’s time to launch your career, you’ll be ready for anything.
