    Associate Degree in Science

    Science is the foundation of many of today’s most exciting and fast-growing careers. With an associate degree in science from Dean College, you’ll be prepared to advance in the many branches of biology, the life sciences, biotechnology and related, STEM-dependent fields.

    In our science curriculum, coursework includes cellular and organismal biology, basic inorganic chemistry and a solid core of liberal arts courses to refine academic skills and contextualize your science. In the second year, you’ll pursue independent research with a faculty mentor.

    Science graduates from Dean go on to transfer successfully to four-year programs in a wide range of majors. Whether your career goals are in basic research, biotechnology or medical industry or a STEM-related field, an associate degree from Dean will prepare you to thrive.

    Unless placing into MTH 152 or higher at point of matriculation, students who complete MTH 150 and earn less than a B in that course will need to take MTH 151 prior to taking CHM 151. MTH 151 will fulfill an open elective requirement. PSY 111- General Psychology- is strongly recommended as an open elective. Credits
