The Sport Management major, within the Dean R. Sanders ‘47 School of Business, leverages coursework from a variety of our top-notch degrees, like business management, athletic coaching and recreation management, exercise science, and marketing. You’ll learn the proven business principles and organizational management strategies necessary to launch a successful career in sales or marketing; managing sports organizations and venues; working with athletic directors and coaches; and so much more. Esports and Gaming Administration

Dean College offers an Esports and Gaming Administration track, specifically focused on this rapidly growing and lucrative industry. In this track, you’ll learn how eGames are made, team/league management, Esports events planning, and marketing.

As a Sport Management major at Dean, you’ll gain real-world experience by participating in both on and off-campus opportunities. As the exclusive academic partner of Kraft Sports + Entertainment, the holding company for the New England Patriots and New England Revolution, you will meet with and learn from sports industry veterans. Additionally, the Dean Leadership Institute brings to campus national and international industry leaders who offer unique insight into the business and sport management world. And the Dean College Center for Business, Entertainment and Sport Management gives students exclusive internships with major organizations; access to facilities, stadiums, special events, team practices/training; and the option to participate in a variety of community service projects. Our students have completed internships at leading sports organizations in the area, like the New England Patriots, New England Revolution, Pawtucket Red Sox, Providence Bruins, WEEI Sports Radio and more.

After graduating, you find our Dean Bulldogs working at places like the Boston Red Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Mets, Boston Celtics, New England Patriots, Cape Cod Baseball League, WEEI Sports Radio, the YMCA, various collegiate athletic programs and so much more.   • Complete multiple, for-credit internships with a local or regional professional sports organization or venue such as Patriot Place, New England Patriots, New England Revolution and the Cape Cod Baseball League.
  • Tour professional facilities and arenas, such as Gillette Stadium, the New England Revolution Training Center, and Helix Esports at Patriot Place, an esports gaming center and the official practice facility for the Boston Uprising.
  • Network with experienced sport management executives through the Dean Leadership Institute, which hosts the Executive Lecture Series and Leadership in Action series throughout the year. Past speakers have included executives from The Kraft Group, Nike and so much more.
