National Survey of Student Engagement

  • Each year, the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) asks students at hundreds of colleges and universities to reflect on how they view their college on five specific learning segments. Each topic is linked to research that is directly correlated to student success in college. The more fruitful a student’s college experience, the better positioned that student is to launch a successful career.

We are extremely proud of our results from the recently concluded 2012 NSSE survey.  Dean College scored significantly better than students at comparable private colleges in the Northeast in the all important area of Student-Faculty Interaction. In addition, Dean also scored significantly better than other colleges taking part in the 2012 NSSE survey in the categories of Supportive Campus Environment and Active and Collaborative Learning.
